Meet the Founders
Cars & Canines was created in August 2022 by Mia Molina and Gia Soleil Espinoza, built from a shared love for cars, dogs, and community. What began as a passion project to bring car enthusiasts and dog lovers together quickly grew into a mission to make a meaningful difference through connection, compassion, and service.
After the loss of Mia, Cars & Canines became more than an initiative, it became a legacy. Today, the organization stands as a reflection of Mia’s love for animals, her compassion for others, and her deep commitment to her community. Now continued by Gia, Cars & Canines serves as a living reminder that this is more than a car meet, it is a movement rooted in love, purpose, and the enduring impact of one remarkable heart.

Mia Molina
Mia Molina was an accomplished young woman whose impact extended across modeling, entrepreneurship, and community service. During her career in runway and pageant modeling, she earned distinguished titles including Miss Sunrise and Top Model USA, and was featured in fashion publications, digital platforms, and a music video, establishing a respected and influential presence.
Driven by her passion for both car culture and animal welfare, Mia co-founded Cars & Canines, a nonprofit community initiative dedicated to supporting local shelter dogs through adoption events, microchipping, vaccinations, and public outreach, while fostering meaningful community engagement through car meets.
Mia graduated with honors from Alta Vista Early College, earning an Associate of Arts degree, and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Marketing with a minor in Advertising from New Mexico State University. Her legacy is defined by leadership, vision, and a steadfast commitment to service.

Gia Soleil Espinoza
Gia Soleil Espinoza is the co-founder of Cars & Canines, a Criminal Justice major at El Paso Community College, and a dedicated community leader committed to service and advocacy. Crowned Miss Earth USA 2026, she uses her platform to champion environmental conservation, raise awareness for domestic violence prevention, and inspire positive change through community outreach and education.
With a passion for both car culture and animal welfare, Gia plays a leading role in Cars & Canines that unite communities while supporting dog adoptions and local rescue efforts. She is driven by a strong sense of purpose, compassion, and leadership, striving to create safe spaces, meaningful connections, and opportunities for impact. Through her continued work, Gia remains committed to honoring legacy, empowering others, and building initiatives that create lasting change in her community and beyond.
